The Royal Cavalier
The Cavalier or specifically called as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a breed of dog named after King Charles II of England. The Cavalier Spaniel is the best companion dog that is closest to humans once it is trained. The Cavalier’s dome-head and round eyes make its face look friendly and kind. The fur of the Cavalier Spaniel is long and silky hence it needs regular brushing to avoid tangles and roughness. There are sub categories of Cavaliers: there is a Cavalier called Prince Charles which possesses black, white and tan patterns; another is the Bleinham King Charles who has white coat and chest-nut marks; the original black and tan-colored Cavalier and; the Ruby which has a solid red color. There may be a lot of breeds but the positive characteristics of a Cavalier is still the same.
When it comes to the procedures of taming an animal, there is a psychological terminology that pertains to the positive reinforcement training in dogs. This type of training is called clicker training. Clicker training is done by means of a metal device that produces a clicking sound when pressed. If the dog has successfully executed a command, a treat is given right after the “clicker” is pressed. The clicking sound serves as a stimulus for the dog the follow a command because there will be a reward afterwards.
Clicker training as well as other types of training is very effective when it comes to teaching a Cavalier Spaniel. Cavalier Spaniel breeds are very intelligent which is why they are one of the most recommended pets for first time owners. The Cavaliers are playful and gentle and nature and they can bring about happiness to any member of the family. The clicker training, despite the intelligence that the Cavalier already has, will motivate it to do more, play more and be more active than usual.
